Somnath Gate is one of the newest and most scenic entrance to the Tadoba National Park buffer zone. It is situated in the Mul forest range and was opened to tourists in July 2023.Somnath Gate is located near the village of Somanth Prakalp , is situated the Mul tehsil of the Chandrapur district in Maharashtra.
As it borders the Kolsa Range , it is really beneficial for those visitors looking to avoid the crowds of the Moharli or Kolara gates while still enjoying high-quality sightings during jungle safari .This zone is more famous for Sloth bears than leopards and tigers because of its hilly and rocky terrain.
As Somnath is the territory for many residential animals of the tadoba jungle , some famous tigers like the legendary male tiger Chhota Matka, Jr. Mowgli & K-Mark female may also be encountered here . Also many birds make it an excellent spot for raptors and forest birds like the Crested Serpent Eagle and various owls.

Safari Timing
There are two safaris available i.e. morning and evening. The morning safari starts at 6.30 AM and the evening safari begins at 2.30 PM.

Accessing the wildlife section of our site requires registration. Kindly provide your name, age, gender, and nationality. For Indian citizens, acceptable ID proofs include an Aadhar card, passport, driver's license, or voter ID. Non-Indians must submit passport details and their country of origin. Reserve a safari to secure your spot; the remaining formalities will be handled on the safari day.
