Positioned between Moharli and the Navegaon area, Kolara is renowned as one of the oldest gates in Tadoba, making it a prime location for spotting tigers. It is the second-best choice for park visitors after Moharli. Offering gypsy safaris, Kolara Gate attracts a majority of tourists eager to witness the majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The gate is particularly famous for its scenic bamboo forest, which enhances the beauty of the surrounding landscape. From this gate, nature enthusiasts can witness the magnificent tigers in their natural habitat while enjoying the serene ambiance of the bamboo-filled forest. Kolara Gate allows nine safaris in the morning and nine in the evening, for a total of 18 safaris per day.

Safari Timing
There are two shifts in the safari, i.e., in the morning and evening. The safari timings are from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the evening safari from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
