Tadoba Jungle is a diverse habitat, hosting a plethora of animals, including various species, reptiles, and butterflies. However, it is renowned for its majestic tigers and tigresses. Beyond the big cats, the jungle is home to a variety of mammals, including Indian leopards, sloth bears, gaur, nilgai, dhole, small Indian civet, jungle cats, sambar, barking deer, chital, chausingha, and honey badger. About Tadoba Jungle

The Tadoba jungle tiger reserve is the largest national park in Maharashtra. The total area covered around 1725.40 Sq. km. And it is known as the Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Forest.

According to the Wildlife Institution of India's Department of Animal Ecology and Conservation Biology, they recorded 88 tigers in the forest using the SECR methodology. Most of the tigers are seen in the core zone rather than the buffer zone. As per the recently updated report, the Tadoba jungle has 115+ tigers in the National Park. The jungle safari in Tadoba occurs in two zones: the core zone and the buffer zone. In that, we can ride through a gypsy or canter. According to the Todoba Jungle Rules, a guide is provided to you on the jungle safari.

The Todaba jungle has lakes in the southwest; there is Tadoba Lake, where it became a bridge between the buffer zone and the national park. Then there is Telia Lake, where the 'Tiger Sisters of Telia' documentary got shot. In the Tadoba jungle, the north and west covered up the densely forested hills and meadows, and densely forested hills covered up the area from north to south. Then there are cliffs, talus, and caves for several animals.

Vision Of Our Leaders

"I salute all those working towards wildlife protection. Be it lions, tigers and leopards, India is seeing a steady rise in the population of various animals. We should do everything possible to ensure protection of our forests and safe habitats for animals".
- PM Shri Narendra Modi

"The Forest Department carries out the work of preservation and conservation of wildlife and forest resources. Balancing environment with development is the need of the hour. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the work of the Forest Department here today, saying that the work of the Forest Department in the era of global warming is divine".
- CM Shri Eknath Shinde (Maharashtra)

"Forest Department in Maharashtra to be made Ideal in the Country"
Enriching forests is everyone's responsibility. Agriculture was founded seven thousand years ago. Tigers were existent even before that time. The dense Tadoba- Andhari tiger project is central to the national conservation in India.
- Minister for Forests - Sudhir Mungantiwar

Visitors Experience

We saw 5 tigers in 4 safaris, along with a plethora of other animals. The park was also huge, much bigger than I thought. Unfortunately we didnt see any adult males, but we plan to come more often and hopefully we will next time. All the different zones we were in offered their own unique experiences. Would highly reccomend this place. Probably the best place to see Tigers in their natural habitat in the world!

Samarth

Overall, I think it is a great place to visit. The tigers are beautiful and majestic creatures, and it is amazing to see them in their natural habitat.

Sumit R.

It's a good place to rejuvenate and spend time with friends and family. Tadoba Tiger Reserve 🐅 does not require an introduction as such so I am only sharing my experiences . In one simple line it is much better organized and maintained than what the expectations were.

Sameer Khan

Tadoba is one of the Best places to visit to witness tigers in jungle. We did safari in Moharli gate and were lucky enough to spot 3 tigers in our safari and few other animals too. But make sure you book your safari slot online in prior and summer is the best time to spot the wild animals in the jungle.
